Lions’ Aaron Glenn Sends Brutally Honest 5-Word Message to NFL Teams Amid Head Coaching Interest

The Detroit Lions face a challenging matchup this weekend against rising star Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders at Ford Field. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is in the spotlight as he is also involved in head coaching interviews.

On Wednesday, Glenn made his stance clear to both NFL general managers and Lions fans, sharing his mindset for Saturday’s game and offering insights on the possibility of becoming a head coach elsewhere after Detroit’s playoff run concludes. With 15 years of playing experience and almost a decade as a coach, Glenn expressed his thoughts during a recent press conference.

“The one thing I take from all my interviews is that I’m going to be myself, and whether you like it or not, that’s who I am,” Glenn said about his head coaching interviews. Glenn’s confident and resolute attitude was further evident when he discussed his potential return to Detroit next season. Having declined an interview with the New England Patriots, Glenn seems willing to stay with the Lions if no better opportunity arises this offseason.

“If you don’t, all good, I have a great job here in Detroit,” Glenn remarked, emphasizing how much he enjoyed the interview process but is now focused on the Lions’ divisional round playoff game against the Commanders. The Lions are favored by 9.5 points in the game, two wins away from their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.
