Syracuse, N.Y. — On National Signing Day, the Syracuse football team revealed the signing of running back Tylik Hill, who officially committed to the Orange. Hill had previously given a verbal commitment in late December. His signing adds to Syracuse’s Class of 2025, which now includes 35 players who have signed and are expected to receive scholarships next year.
Hill ran for 2,336 yards and scored 27 touchdowns last year as a high school player at Pope John Paul XXIII Regional High School in Sparta, New Jersey. Ranked as high as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports, Hill also received an offer from UMass.
While National Signing Day in February used to be a key event in the college football calendar, most schools, including Syracuse, now secure the majority of their signees on Early National Signing Day.
The Orange signed 34 players in early December and added Hill on Wednesday.
Additionally, two players have enrolled early at Syracuse and will participate in spring practice, although they are not expected to be on football scholarships (Syracuse has 22 early enrollees in total). One is a preferred walk-on, and the other has a scholarship for lacrosse.
Syracuse’s Class of 2025 is currently ranked 41st in the nation by 247Sports and ninth in the ACC.
