The Green Bay Packers had a strong 2024 season, securing 11 wins and earning a playoff spot. However, their postseason run ended in the Wild Card round. With the season behind them, the Packers must now shift their focus to the offseason to address the issues that held them back in 2024.
Packers center Josh Myers received encouraging news ahead of NFL free agency in March, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler provided a positive update on Packers center Josh Myers ahead of NFL free agency in March.
“While Myers went down with what seemed to be a significant injury in the playoffs, I’m told he came out of the game unscathed and has no injury from the play,” Fowler reported via ESPN. “He’s receiving no treatment and is completely healthy entering free agency.”

Since the 2022 season, Myers has started 50 games for Green Bay, and Fowler anticipates he will attract strong interest on the market.
The Packers may look to re-sign Myers, given their lack of a clear replacement at center. However, retaining him could be costly. Fowler pointed out that Creed Humphrey’s four-year, $72 million deal could influence the market for top centers in free agency. While Myers may not command a contract of that magnitude, Humphrey’s deal indicates teams are willing to invest in a reliable center.
According to Spotrac, Myers is projected to earn around $7.7 million per season on a new contract, which could keep him within Green Bay’s budget.
