The Bills No. 1 wide receiver and his wife, Sayler, will remain in Buffalo through at least the 2028 season.
The Buffalo Bills secured wide receiver Khalil Shakir with a four-year, $60 million extension last week. The deal, which includes $32 million in guaranteed money, will keep the 25-year-old in Buffalo until the 2028 season and allow him to continue developing alongside quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, Josh Allen.
During a press conference on Monday to officially announce the contract, Shakir took a moment to express his gratitude toward his wife, Sayler, for all her support.
“Obviously, my wife has been with me every step of the way through this whole process. She’s my rock,” Shakir said.

“Y’all are gonna make me cry,” he added, getting emotional. “That’s my damn wife, man.”
It was a special moment for Shakir and his wife, Sayler, who have been married since 2023.
“I wouldn’t be where I’m at without her,” the former fifth-round pick shared. “It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, and every time I get home and things aren’t going the way I want, she’s right there. So, I’m really appreciative.”
In 2024, Shakir posted career highs in receptions (76), receiving yards (821), and touchdowns (4), while the Bills’ offense averaged 30.9 points per game—second only to the Detroit Lions.
Now, Shakir and Sayler will remain in Buffalo for the foreseeable future, with the goal of helping the Bills secure their first-ever Super Bowl victory.
