This Is Why It Pays To Add Depth, Another LSU Star Reportedly Down With Season Ending Injury

After delivering a remarkable 36-point performance against Florida, Aneesah Morrow suffered a foot and ankle injury in the third quarter of LSU’s game against Texas.

The television broadcast stated that she underwent X-rays to assess the severity of the injury. In the fourth quarter, Morrow returned to the game wearing a walking boot.

Aneesah’s injury comes at a challenging time for the Tigers, who are also missing Flau’jae Johnson. Flau’jae, who is currently in a walking boot, is recovering from a shin injury and missed the entire SEC Tournament.

Despite the team’s strong effort, it wasn’t enough to overcome the top-ranked Texas Longhorns, as LSU lost 56-49 in the SEC Tournament semifinals. On social media, fans were less focused on the outcome of the game and more concerned about Aneesah’s health.

The health of Flau’jae and Aneesah going into the March Madness tournament is still uncertain. Luckily, they have at least 12 days to recover, and it’s highly likely that LSU will secure a #3 seed or higher.

This seeding ensures they will have a favorable opening round matchup that they should be able to win, even if the team isn’t at full strength.
