Breaking: Pelican Bridged Another Contract Deal To Boost Their depth to their frontcourt

The New Orleans Pelicans have signed center Mo Bamba to a 10-day contract, adding depth to their frontcourt. Bamba, standing 7 feet tall and weighing 231 pounds, has played for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and LA Clippers over his seven-year NBA career. He holds averages of 6.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game across 360 appearances, with each game averaging 16.8 minutes.

This season, Bamba appeared in 28 games (two starts) with the LA Clippers, averaging 4.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 12.6 minutes per game. He also played four games (all starts) with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, where he averaged 21.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game.

Bamba’s addition brings the Pelicans’ roster to 18 players, including three two-way players. The team is currently navigating a series of injuries, with key players like Dejounte Murray, CJ McCollum, Herb Jones, and Trey Murphy sidelined. Bamba’s experience and recent performances in the G League position him to provide valuable support during this challenging period.
