Breaking: Giants Set to Confirm A Blockbuster Quarterback Trade After Aaron Rodgers Decision

The New York Giants are in a tough spot at quarterback as they await Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers’ decision, though the final say may not be up to them.

An NFL analyst predicts the Giants will take a different approach, making a blockbuster trade to move up in the draft and secure this year’s top quarterback prospect.

The New York Giants are in a difficult position at quarterback, waiting on Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers’ decision, though the outcome may be beyond their control.

According to the report, Rodgers has drawn interest from both the Steelers and Giants but has put them on hold while awaiting clarity on the Vikings’ situation. If Minnesota is no longer an option, he may reject both teams—despite Pittsburgh’s playoff appearance in 2024—and choose retirement instead.

CBS Sports insider Kyle Stackpole suggests that if the Giants fail to land Rodgers, they could take a different route by trading up to the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

“The Titans are reportedly high on Cam Ward, but they may prefer the haul the desperate Giants are willing to offer,” Stackpole wrote. “After striking out in free agency, New York moves up to select its franchise quarterback.”
