During the New York Jets’ challenging 2024 season, tight end Tyler Conklin maintained consistent performance in the final year of his contract. He played in 16 games, starting 15, and recorded 51 receptions for 449 yards and four touchdowns. Notably, Conklin caught Aaron Rodgers’ 500th career touchdown pass in a 32-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins, a reception that also earned him a $250,000 bonus for reaching 50 catches on the season. Despite Rodgers’ return to health, the Jets struggled throughout the year, ultimately missing the playoffs once again.

Tyler Conklin, a tight end from Central Michigan, entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (157th overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2018 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons, he recorded 13 receptions for 135 yards. His performance improved in his third year, with 19 receptions for 194 yards and a touchdown. Conklin’s breakout came in the 2021 season, where he played all 17 games and achieved career-highs with 61 receptions, 593 yards, and three touchdowns.

In the final year of his rookie contract (2021), Minnesota Vikings tight end Tyler Conklin set career highs with 61 receptions for 593 yards and three touchdowns on 87 targets. Despite his strong performance, the Vikings finished the season with an 8–9 record, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year. This led to the firing of head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman in January 2022.

Tyler Conklin leveraged his breakout 2021 season into a three-year, $20.25 million contract with the New York Jets in 2022. In his first season with the Jets, Conklin recorded 58 receptions for 552 yards and three touchdowns. He continued his strong performance in 2023, matching his career-high with 61 receptions for 621 yards. However, he did not record any touchdowns that season.

Tyler Conklin, since beginning his NFL career, has accumulated 263 receptions for 2,544 yards and 11 touchdowns.
